We're recruiting on behalf of a national fire safety consultancy delivering high-quality Fire Risk Assessments across commercial, public sector, and multi-site clients. With a growing team of remote assessors, they're now seeking a strategic Head of FRA to lead performance, quality, and operational flow across the UK.

Role Summary - Head of FRA/ Fire Risk Assessor Manager - Midlands

This is a leadership and coordination role focused on managing a dispersed team of Fire Risk Assessors, ensuring quality standards, productivity, and client satisfaction. You'll work closely with the bid team, validate assessments, support invoicing, and mentor assessors to exceed delivery targets.

Key Responsibilities - FRA Manager

-     Lead and manage a team of remote Fire Risk Assessors across the UK

-     Validate FRA reports (Tier 2 or Tier 3 level) and ensure quality assurance

-     Drive team productivity and ensure work flows exceed targets

-     Support bid team with tender submissions and technical input

-     Engage with clients and ensure high levels of service delivery

-     Oversee invoicing accuracy and operational coordination

-     Mentor, coach, and develop assessors to maintain standards and compliance

-     Occasionally visit clients or team members (London-Manchester corridor)

Who we are looking for 

We're looking for an experienced fire safety professional with strong leadership and validation credentials. You'll be comfortable working remotely, managing a dispersed team, and ensuring operational excellence.

Essential Experience for FRA Manager/ Head of Fire Compliance (Fire Risk)

-     Tier 2 or Tier 3 FRA validator

-     Proven experience managing Fire Risk Assessors

-     Strong understanding of fire safety legislation and assessment standards

-     Ability to drive performance and maintain quality across remote teams

-     Comfortable working from home with occasional travel

-     Ideally based in the Midlands for access to London-Manchester corridor
