Operations Director - Mechanical Pipework Installation - Belfast

Company Overview: Client is specialist in mechanical installations including Pipework/ Pipefitting for Construction and Commercial Applications. We're seeking an experienced Operations Director for their Northern Ireland Office and would Direct from Belfast location with a view to progressing further in future.
Position Overview: As Operations Director you will drive success by leveraging mechanical installation expertise of staff you inspire, and your main role will be to lead process implementation and enhance operational systems from smaller to medium sized company (Currently £5m - £10m t/o and growing). You would have experience managing Operations and leading Service Manager, Installation Manager, Project manager and deputising for a MD (who will focus more on Sales as you progress). We'd love you to again structure the processes, add templates and systems and turn a good business into a structured and good one.
You would have experience from Industrial Plumbing, Pipefitting or Fire Protection (Mechanical Installations such as HVAC, Fire Suppression, Pipework), and lead a technical team and improve procedures to help them do even better.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of managers,
- Create guidance in mechanical installation (from your plumbing, pipefitting or fire protection, HVAC, Fire Suppression or similar mechanical installation experience)
- Oversee project execution (through others) within timelines, budgets, and quality parameters.
- Develop operational processes for efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with Sales, Service, Projects, Install and Engineering
- Ensure and implement Quality Assurance for seamless workflows.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Strong Mechanical installation background (Pipework, etc)
- Proven engineering/ Operations management & team leadership
- Project management so understanding of mechanical installs
- Effective cross-functional communication.
- Professional with personality and drive to improve Operations
Location: Belfast, United Kingdom (you should be commutable in Northern Ireland or relocating (from the UK already be a UK citizen with UK experience of Mechanical Installation Projects/ Leading a Company doing this e.g. Pipefitting).
