Operations Manager - Fire and Security - South East (Surrey, South London, Kent, Sussex preferred) - £60000 - £65000 + Bonus/ Commission + Benefits
FIRE ALARM, Project manager/ Account Manager/ Engineering Manager, Business Manager, Branch Manager, P&L Management = Operation Manager, KPI, SLA, leading team.
Attend Surrey/ Sussex office 1-2 days a week and 3-4 days in South England
c. £65000 (£60-70k) pa + Quotation Bonus + 33 Holidays + progression + CarA
Manage 20 staff (2 office 3 Coordinators and 16 engineers across South England

OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly skilled Fire and Security Operations Manager to oversee and manage the fire and security division and help as growing 20-30% per annum. You as our Operations Manager will be responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of fire and security services, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and optimizing operational processes. If you are an ideal candidate you will have a strong background in fire and security systems and possess excellent leadership and managerial skills. You will be out and about in the field on sites, projects, meeting customers, engineers and managing communication, hiring/ progressing engineers and managing a £7m P&L.
JOB ROLE AREAS:
Leadership and Team Management:
Provide strong leadership and guidance to the fire and security team, fostering a positive work culture and motivating team members to achieve their goals.
Manage and supervise a team of technicians, installers, and support staff, ensuring optimal resource allocation and utilization.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training and development needs to enhance individual and team performance.
Operational Planning and Execution:
Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of fire and security services.
Monitor and evaluate operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations, optimize resource allocation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, codes, and standards pertaining to fire and security systems.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the quality and functionality of fire and security systems, ensuring they meet the required standards.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, industry experts, and suppliers to stay updated on the latest advancements, regulations, and best practices.
Project Management:
Oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of fire and security projects, adhering to defined timelines and budgets.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure project requirements are met and client expectations are exceeded.
Monitor project progress, resolve any issues or conflicts, and provide regular updates to senior management.
Customer Relationship Management:
Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to identify opportunities for growth and expansion within the fire and security division.
Foster strong relationships with existing and potential clients, addressing their concerns and providing excellent customer service.
Act as a point of escalation for client issues, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
SKILLS
Proven experience in a similar role managing team of engineers, office staff and customers satisfaction whilst ensuring Profit and Loss managed for a fire Alarm/ Fire & security installer.
In-depth knowledge of fire protection and security systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Sound knowledge of relevant industry regulations, codes, and standards.
Proficient in project management and aware of the process to manage it
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
