Project Manager with Fire experience and good on Financials

£40000 - £50000 Salary Range with excellent benefits - Surrey and commutable

Would have experience delivering projects for a Fire Detection Installer (NACOSS FIRE, BAFE, FIA, NSI, GENT, Open Protocol, etc) or an Electronic Security Company (where have worked on Fire Alarm project delivery also).

Sites/ projects/ customers will include Sports Stadia, Universities, etc, so you would be used to larger customers. Would have ongoing or smaller £20k-£400k projects, but the skills needed to succeed in this role would come from managing and estimating costs on larger projects or complex Fire & Security projects, where you liaise with the client, use your financial skills and good customer skills.

A varied role that includes the following areas:

  • Presales - Estimation and Technical Sales Support abilities
  • Technical - System Design Proposals and Surveying skills
  • Financials - Project Financials / QS duties
  • Project Mobilisation and Management

The Candidate would also be called upon to provide technical design support to our business development team. This may include tendering specification reviews, developing technical solutions and assisting with writing proposals.

The role will require you, the Fire Project Manager, to get involved in a range of projects from £20k - £400k. These may range from straightforward fire alarm upgrade works to fully Integrated graphics packages. Many of the projects are for large scale, multi-campus institutions, or critical infrastructure. So, experience in designing large scale commercial systems, in particularly Fire Alarm Systems, is essential.

- Requirements to be right for the Project Manager's role (Fire & Security)

  • Design Fire systems
  • Great Maths and literacy skills
  • Process driven approach so SLA and KPI and Reporting are not a bore
  • Be comfortable dealing with clients from building site to boardroom
  • Financially astute Project Manager within the Fire & Security sector
  • Commutable to Surrey, Hampshire and West London when needed

You would be a Project Manager in a Nacoss/ NSI/ BAFE company already.
